Within the theme Digital media we carry out research related to the social-psychological developmental, sociological and political implications of the use of information and communication technologies. Our main focus is on children, adolescents and families. Our research includes a number of diverse themes, such as problematic online experiences (online risks) of children, online relationships, online communication, cyberbullying and online aggression, behavioral addictions and excessive internet use, internet and health (e.g., eating behavior and technology), sexuality and digital media, online security and privacy, new media and political participation, or local media.
