Health, Media and Sexuality team at an international conference in Bologna, Italy
The Health, Media and Sexuality team visited the international conference of the Congress of the European Federation of Sexology in Bologna, Italy. The gathering of experts from all over the world focused on various aspects of sexual health, mental well-being, and legal issues. The program included presentations of scientific findings.
Tereza Doležalová is our Master's student and presented the results of their bachelor thesis on predictors of depression in transgender and non-binary people. Gabriela Gore-Gorszewska spoke about motives of sexual inactivity in aging women. Pavla Nováková presented the connection between sex addiction and sexual objectification. Andrea Stašek's presentation was about minority stress across different sexual identities.
INPSY members' contributions were a success, some of them even won awards and nominations. Andrea Stašek won the award for best oral presentation, and Veronika Gocieková was nominated for her poster based on a recently published study, which you can read about here.
